Having the Courage to Say Yes
Sometimes in life, God gently reminds us that the experiences we’ve been through were never meant to be kept just for ourselves.
Recently, I had the opportunity to contribute a personal story to a collaborative book called The Courage to Say Yes, published by HopeBooks. It’s a collection of stories from 88 Christian writers sharing moments when courage and faith were needed to say yes to God in different seasons of life.
As I worked on my chapter, I found myself reflecting on how often we underestimate the value of our own stories.
My story just doesn’t seem important enough.
I don’t know enough about the Bible.
Someone can explain faith better than I can.
Yet—the most meaningful encouragement can come from ordinary people simply being honest about what God has done in their lives.
The Courage to Say Yes
One of the things I love about the book—every chapter is different. Different backgrounds. Different struggles. Different kinds of courage. Yet every story points back to the faithfulness of God.
And that’s the beauty of sharing our stories.
We all experience moments where God teaches us, carries us, and changes us along the way.
I hope you’ll order the book, read the stories, and find the courage to say yes to sharing your own story about what God has done for you.
