Book Review: "It's Never Too Late" by Kathie Lee Gifford

After getting ALL the books on my Amazon wish list for Christmas, I was ready to start reading in 2021! The first book I selected from my new to-be-read (TBR) pile was It’s Never Too Late: Make the Next Act of Your Life the Best Act of Your Life, by Kathie Lee Gifford. Many find Kathie Lee a little too over the top, but I appreciate her spontaneity, drive, and love for the Lord.

Kathie Lee gives an inspiring account of how she has used each new chapter in her life as a time to learn and to discover just how much is possible. And she loved every part of it!

Leaving The TODAY Show’s fourth-hour time slot co-hosted with Hoda Kotb, she moved to Nashville for a fresh start — and the opportunities to pursue new creative dreams. She “shares stories from her remarkable life to weave together a beautiful reminder that whatever circumstances we face, God is still dreaming big for our years ahead.” (1)

“What we are made to do is what we love to do,” says Kathie Lee. “I’ve never been confused at all about what I’m supposed to, and I think that’s because I was pursuing my dreams.” (2)

This book was a perfect read for the beginning of the year. Her encouraging message is for everyone: it’s never too late to pursue what you love despite your age. Never stop dreaming. And if you have stopped, try again. This was a 5-star read for me.

  1. What an interesting book! I used to really enjoy watching Kathie Lee on TV. I especially love the idea that it's never too late to pursue your dreams. I'm definitely going to banish “I'm too old to do (x)” from my vocabulary. Except for acrobatics. I'm not flipping upside down! But I'll attempt just about everything else!

  2. Sounds like a great book!! I love Kathie Lee. I have enjoyed her Christmas Godwink movies on Hallmark, too! She makes a great point – God is still dreaming big for us whether we are or not, so we can always reinvigorate our dreams. Or create new ones!
